What is isometric graph paper used for?
It is a grid of equilateral triangles formed by vertical lines and two sets of 30-degree diagonals. The angles let you draw three-dimensional shapes in isometric projection, which is why it suits 3D sketching, technical drawing and isometric game design.
How is it different from square graph paper?
Square graph paper has a flat grid for plotting and measuring in two dimensions. Isometric paper adds 30-degree diagonals instead of only horizontals, so lines drawn along the grid read as the three faces of a 3D object. Use square paper for graphs and isometric for 3D drawing.
Will it print at the right size?
Yes, as long as you turn off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" in your print dialog and set scale to 100% or Actual size.
