What are the lines on handwriting practice paper for?
Each row has three guides: a solid baseline that letters sit on, a dashed mid-line that shows where lowercase letters reach, and a top line for capitals and tall letters. The dashed middle is the key one, because it teaches consistent letter height.
What row height should I use for young children?
Start large, around 18 to 20 mm tall, so small hands have room to form each letter. As control improves, reduce the height step by step toward normal lined paper. You can set any row height here and print fresh sheets as they progress.
Can I use A4 and US Letter?
